This presentation has been prepared to inform and inspire our delegation ahead of the Chivalric Festival of Romanian Wine in Ploiești, 2–3 October 2026.
Our Delegation
Led by Hospita Corina, our delegation travels to Romania with great anticipation — to experience the living tradition of European knighthood, discover the richness of Romanian wine culture, and strengthen the bonds of friendship within the Order.

Founded 2007
Established in the noble tradition of medieval chivalric orders, the Romanian Consulate currently numbers over 500 members across 6 Legates and 6 Commanderies.
Chivalric Heritage
Continuing the legacy of the Order of St George (1273, 1308, 1468), guided by honour, dignity and Christian morality. The 8-pointed Knight's Cross symbolises the struggle against the 8 unhappinesses of mankind.
Mission & Values
Equidistant from politics, business and special interests — promoting Romanian wine, wineries and entrepreneurs, as well as responsible wine consumption and the appreciation of fine wines.
FICB Member since 2014
Affiliated with the Fédération Internationale des Confréries Bachiques (FICB) — embedding Romania in the global network of wine brotherhoods.

Romania's flagship native red — plum, black cherry, spice and firm structure. Style varies by region, yield and oak use. The heartland is Dealu Mare.
Fetească Albă & Regală
Delicate floral aromas, citrus and fresh acidity (Albă) meet orchard fruit and accessible dry whites (Regală). Both thrive in cooler Transylvanian conditions.
Tămâioasă & Busuioacă
Highly aromatic natives: Tămâioasă Românească offers floral, honeyed and spicy notes in dry to sweet styles; Busuioacă de Bohotin yields rose-petal rosés with red-fruit character.
